Some extracts:
I am afraid, so what?
Someone asked me, ’you are from mainland after all, are you not afraid since you are in charge of this?’
I did not answer.
In fact, I am afraid, I even dreamed about my parents being arrested, I am really afraid.
However this does not stop me from fighting together with Hong Kong, this does not kill the courage which is given by the righteousness and consciousness in our nature.
I love my home country, this is why I wish her to be better. I wish more eyes to be open, in order to see this perseverance and those values that never die. So, does my fear even matter in this case?
There are words promoting harmony on all the streets inside this world, while in the other world beyond the transmission towers and firewall, Hong Kong is crowded with people’s courage and silence, people are shouting out loud for democracy and justice.
I am afraid, I am afraid of being arrested, but whatever? I am only sending my regards to my fellows. I am only applauding my fellows for their admirable qualities, I only want to praise that self-forgetting perseverance, I only want to stick to the core values of socialism which I have been taught since childhood.
I am afraid, but this does not affect my logic.
I am afraid of being arrested, but I am more afraid of others mistaking mainlanders as dumb people who will only hunt for discounts, I am more afraid of our people being separated because of some views, I am more afraid of this city of freedom and convenience falling into a single voice. I am more afraid, that these voices of shouting for love and justice will vanish from now on.
I am afraid, so what?
Fight on, Hong Kong!
We come across the Wall.
We are here to be witnesses of the Umbrella Movement.
We know that Hong Kong is a place where not only is there access to luxury products like the iPhone 6, but also to books that we can barely find in mainland.
We know that Hong Kong is a place where not only can we go to pop concerts, but also listen to unheard voices.
We know that Hong Kong is a place where we can transfer to many different places and also seek justice through the world.
It may sound unbelievable, but we need Hong Kong more than you think.
You are not simply protecting your home, in fact, it is a land with all our dreams and hopes. Not kingdom, but freedom.
It is a glowing light in darkness.
We have lost our political lives for many years. We have even lost ourselves for many years. However we are now walking with all the protesters for freedom and equality.
Fight on, Hong Kong!
we need your voice
3rd October, please remember this date.
The world that you cannot send out or upload anything, is a desperate and absurd world. The status of sexual harassers and assaulters is still high, the status of victims is still low. These are the defects of human beings.
Beyond and behind the border, there are both brutal suppression on our natural want for freedom.
There should NOT be border among Mainlanders and Hongkongers. There should NOT be border among government and citizens. There should NOT be border among triads and protesters.
Border, you could separate actions but you never separate our want for democracy, you could separate information but you never separate our desire for freedom.
Border, you could separate boundaries, languange or thoughts, but you never separate human beings, together with the same desire, love and peace.
There is always something that is beyond human, beyond system, beyond races, beyond languages, beyond identities.
It is light. Amidst darkness, can we see hopes?
No matter where you are, behind or beyond the border, let us face all the absurdity, we need your voice.
