ESSF has sent since the beginning of the year 8.075 € to Pakistan.

This financial support is for the Labor Education Foundation (LEF) with which we have been working since the 2005 earthquake.

As is usually the case in countries where we maintain permanent solidarity contacts, we sometimes lead specific campaigns for Pakistan: for the victims of a humanitarian catastrophe or in defense of trade unions, peasant associations, persecuted environmental movements ... Beyond this, we maintain, within our means, regular, annual financial support to help the LEF ensure the continuity of the many activities in which it is engaged.

The Labor Education Foundation was established in 1993. It plays an important role in the areas of labor law, health and safety; in helping unions or local and peasant associations; in the relief of victims of humanitarian disasters caused or aggravated by man and in the reconstruction of infrastructures destroyed by said disasters; in the defense of the rights of women, workers under conditions of “feudal” dependence, also in the protection of children deprived of access to formal education or obliged to enter production early.
