Belarussian “Just World” left party calls for an end to the war in Ukraine

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a special military operation aimed at demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. The world community qualifies Russia’s military actions against Ukraine as a war. Several days of combat have shown that the war brings nothing but military deaths on both sides, nothing but the deaths of civilians of Ukraine, nothing but destruction. Indeed, by definition, war cannot bring anything positive.

The Belarusian Left Party “Just World” (Справедливый мир)

* believes that military action should be stopped immediately;

* welcomes the fact that the sides of the conflict sat down to the negotiating table, and only on this path sees a positive development of events and resolution of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine;

* is categorically against the Republic of Belarus and its people being involved in a military conflict;

* urges the authorities of Russia and Belarus to cease persecution of peace people and to immediately release all citizens detained for participating in anti-war actions.
