Eleven districts in the northeastern part of the country have been extremely affected by catastrophic floods. The floods were caused by onrush of mountains and heavy rainfall in the upper stream of India. The floods have washed away people’s homes, cattle, poultry, field crops and pond fish. It has robbed the people of their hope of survival.

Millions of affected people remain stranded in various places. They are extreme lack of food, lack of medicine, lack of baby food, lack of clean water. They are living subhuman lives. They have lost contact with other parts of the country.

These victims are the father of someone, the mother of someone, the beloved sister of someone, the brother of someone, the affectionate child of someone. They are now struggling to survive. They are looking for a way to get some relief stuff if someone comes by accident.

It is sad but true that even though people have been floating in the flood waters for more than a week, the government relief has reached them in an inadequate amount.

In the present system, it is not possible for the government alone to deal with the situation during such a catastrophe. Only the earnest cooperation of all can give relief to the people who are in dire straits. Therefore, people from all walks of life should stand by the flood-affected people out of a sense of human responsibility.

In such a difficult crisis of the nation, our beloved organization Bangladesh Krishok Federation cannot sit idly by.

So we decided to stand by the affected people with humanitarian assistance. We are fully relying on the people to implement this goal. That is why, we are appealing to the affluent people of all walks of life to provide as much financial support as possible for the success of our initiative. We will go to the affected areas on your behalf and deliver your valuable assistance to the affected people.
