The military have been imprisoned without trial by the Russian army command, which refuses to accept their applications to refuse to serve and participate in the LPR on grounds of conscientious objection. However, such a right is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation in Article 28 and Article 59 and must be respected.
Servicemen are kept in terrible conditions: they are threatened with torture and executions, refused medical examinations and are not given food. This is how they try to force them to return to the front.
The Vesna movement (https://t.me/vesna_democrat) has launched a petition (https://chng.it/ ) and appeal to the Russian authorities, including the head of the investigative committee, Alexander Bastrykin, and the Russian commander-in-chief, Vladimir Putin, to check all reports of internal captivity, release the military held there and ensure their constitutional right to alternative service is respected.
Support these demands - sign the petition and send a petition to the Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation using Vesna’s website-service in a few clicks.
Here’s why it’s worth doing:
- Publicity works - and saves lives and health. Several military personnel have already returned from the dungeons.
- If soldiers know they will not be left alone with the system by deciding to leave the front, they will be more likely to refuse to continue fighting. This will help save people on both sides.
- Helping those who refuse to fight is one of the most effective ways to prevent the continuation of hostilities. Every refusenik brings the end of the war closer!
Sign the petition (https://chng.it/GDBvppFCXQ) “Vesna (https://t.me/vesna_democrat)” and send an appeal (https://www.impeachment.digital/plen) to the authorities
