Ahlem’s warmth, kindness and militant qualities were appreciated by all. As soon as the news was known we received messages from France, Brazil, Mexico, the West Indies, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, from comrades who knew her, expressing their sense of loss, their condolences and their solidarity to her relatives and comrades.

Ahlem contributed to our knowledge and understanding of the political processes in Tunisia, especially during the important moment known as the Arab Spring that started in Tunisia.

Ahlem’s commitment to women’s rights in Tunisia is well known. In this respect too, she has made an important contribution to our analysis of the development of the international feminist movement.
