The people of Hong Kong have been protested in massive numbers since the student launched class boycott on 22 September. Yesterday the people of Hong Kong blocked number of streets in solidarity with the student protests as well as Occupy Central to demand for genuine universal suffrage to elect the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. The police has reacted violently by dispersing the protester with pepper spray, tear gas and baton charges. Yet, the brave people of Hong Kong continued their protests by Occupy different parts of the city.
PSM urges the government of Hong Kong to stop its ruthless crackdown on democratic movement.
PSM also demands the government of the People Republic of China to respect the right of the people of Hong Kong to decide their future democratically.
PSM expresses its solidarity with all the people of Hong Kong who are now courageously standing up for democracy and social justice.
