"’We as members of the Irish Parliament are extremely concerned at the decision of the Supreme Court of Gilgit Baltistan on January 11^th of this year in sentencing Baba Jan and 11 other political activists to 40 years imprisonment on what we consider to be trumped charges.

We demand the immediate release of Baba Jan and the 11 others, cancellation of the case based on false charges, publication of the judicial inquiry report and prosecution of those involved in the killing of two people at a demonstration in 2010.’"
