Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Committee released a statement harshly condemning the twin blasts that hit a police target in Istanbul last night.
At least 29 people were killed and 169 others were wounded as a result of the twin blasts that targeted police forces near the Vodafone Arena Soccer Stadium in Istanbul after the Beşiktaş-Bursaspor soccer match last night.
HDP said they harshly condemn these attacks, feel a great sadness and share the pain as many families were wrecked with sorrow following the bomb attack.
HDP expressed their condolences for the deceased and wished a fast recovery to the wounded, and their deepest sympathy for the families.
The statement by HDP underlined that:
"Everyone must do their part to end this pain and prevent new ones from happening.
Turkey should become an exemplary country in the name of peace, democracy and human rights both in domestic and foreign politics and more importantly should become a political actor.
It is necessary to immediately end the politics, language and tone that produce more tension, polarization, hostility and conflict."
