Presided over by CPBML Polit Bureau Member Comrade Mukhlesuddin Shahin the rally was addressed by CPBML General Secretary Comrade Badrul Alam, Bangladesh Labor Federation General Secretary AAM Fayez Hossain, Bangladesh Krishok Federation Central President Zayed Iqbal Khan, Women Leader Advocate Ambia Khatun Shila, Rijia Begum and Shathi Akter, among others.

The Speaker called upon to stop all sorts of violence against women and to establish the equal right for men and women in all spheres of life raising the significance of the Women’s Day.

In order to accelerate the woman liberation movement the speakers also demanded the government to declare 8 March public holiday.
