On this international day, we must carry the voice of those who are fighting and risking their lives.

Two Women’s Days are celebrated in Iran: December 16, the birth day of Fatemeh, the daughter of the prophet, organized by the government, while women’s rights activists celebrate International Women’s Day on the 8^th March.

On March 8, 1979, tens of thousands of women took to the streets to claim their rights and freedoms. After having participated massively in the uprising, they thus expressed their refusal to be among the first targets of the counter-revolution organized under the leadership of Ayatollah Khomeini.

Discrimination against women is contrary to United Nations human rights conventions.
On 2003, The Guardian Council of the Constitution rejected two bills providing Iran adhesion to the “Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women” and the “Convention against Torture and Other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment”.

On January 3, 2021, the government, under the pressure Iranian society, passed a bill entitled “Protection, dignity and security of women against violence”. This bill falls short of international standards, failing to address all aspects of violence faced by women, including child marriage and marital rape.

Nevertheless, it would mark a step forward and could serve as a starting point towards a criminalization and violence against women, and remains to be adopted by the conservative parliament.

The Islamic Penal Code structures the status of women in Iran. Comprising extremely violent corporal punishments, it allows political power to encourage violence against women when it does not take their lives. Patriarchal regime norms exert control over women’s bodies, making them suspect by nature, and guilty of their femininity.
The following cases reveal the violence of this phallocratic regime against the women:

– Yasaman Aryani, sentenced several times for defending her rights.
On August 2018, she was arrested during a demonstration in Tehran with other activists, then more recently, on March 8, 2019, when she and her mother, aboard the Tehran metro, with their faces uncovered, distributed flowers, to campaign against the obligation to wear the veil by pronouncing the slogan “me without the hijab, and you with the hijab”.
They were each sentenced to 16 years imprisonment. Their sentences were reduced to 9 years, following numerous international mobilizations, as well as the virulence of the video widely distributed on social networks.
According to the Nobel Women’s Initiative, Yasaman faced »nightmarish conditions in prison ... she was held in solitary confinement, denied receiving calls and visits from her family, and being threatened to arrest the other members of her family if she did not recant in front of the TV camera and express her regret«.

– Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee, writer, rights defender, activist against the practice of stoning in Iran.
On October 2016, Golrokh began a 6-year prison sentence, following the discovery of a publication criticizing the stoning, during the search of her home,.
She has been in prison since January 2017, in unbearable conditions. During interrogations, blindfolded, she receives death threats. Iraee was also forced to hear the guards kicking and strangling her husband in the next cell.

– Reyhaneh Jabbari, a 20-year-old decorator arrested for the murder of a former intelligence agent who raped her
Found guilty of stabbing the raper to death, she was executed by by hanging on October 25, 2014. Numerous correspondences written from her cell recounted her prison conditions and her engagement. Regarding her trial, she wrote, “I didn’t shed a tear. I didn’t beg. I didn’t cry, because I trusted the law and the justice. But I was accused of being indifferent to the crime”.

– Zahra Ismaili suffered from domestic violence. She murdered her husband in self-defense.
Her husband, a senior intelligence official, beat her frequently. He was sentenced to death. On February 17, 2021, while witnessing the hanging of 16 men before her, she succumbed to a stroke. She was already dead when they took her to the gallows.

 There is no future for democracy in Iran without genuine and complete emancipation of women.

بیانیه سندیکای فرانسوی سولیدر (همبستگی) به مناسبت ۸ مارس روز جهانی زن

وضعیت زنان در ایران
به مناسبت روز جهانی مبارزه برای حقوق زنان، رفقای همبستگی سوسیالیستی با کارگران در ایران ((SSTI ، عضو «شبکه سندیکایی جهانی همبستگی و مبارزه»، نکات زیر در مورد وضعیت زنان در ایران را به اطلاع می رسانند.
 
در این روز جهانی، ما موظفیم که بلندگوی کسانی باشیم که می رزمند و جان خود را به خطر می اندازند.
در ایران دو روز زن برگزار می شود: 16 دسامبر، روز تولد فاطمه، دختر پیامبر، که توسط حکومت سازمان داده می شود، در حالی که فعالان حقوق زنان 8 مارس روز جهانی زن را جشن می گیرند.
در 8 مارس 1979، ده ها هزار زن برای حقوق و آزادی های خود به خیابان ها ریختند. آن ها پس از مشارکت گسترده در قیام، با شرکت در تظاهرات در این روز، مخالفت خود با رژیم ضدانقلاب سازمان یافته به رهبری آیت الله خمینی، که زنان از اولین اهداف سرکوب آن بودند، ابراز داشتند.
تبعیض علیه زنان مغایر با کنوانسیون حقوق بشر سازمان ملل است.
در سال 2003 دو لایحه برای الحاق ایران به کنوانسیون “منع تبعیض علیه زنان” و کنوانسیون “منع شکنجه و سایر مجازات های بیرحمانه”، توسط شورای نگهبان انقلاب رد می شوند.
در اثر فشارهای جامعه بر رژیم، حکومت لایحه ای با عنوان “تأمین امنیت زنان در برابر خشونت” در ۳ ژانویه 2021 تصویب می کند. این لایحه به مراتب پائین تر از استانداردهای بین المللی است، زیرا به همه جنبه های خشونت زنان نمی پردازد، از جمله ازدواج کودکان و تجاوز جنسی مرد نسبت به همسرش.
با این وجود، این یک گام به جلو است و می تواند نقطه شروعی باشد برای برقراری مجازات در مورد خشونت علیه زنان، و تازه این لایحه باید به تصویب پارلمان محافظه کار هم برسد.
در ایران این قانون تعزیرات جمهوری اسلامی است که وضعیت زنان را تنظیم می کند. این قوانین، که شامل مجازات های بدنی بسیار خشن است، به قدرت سیاسی اجازه می دهد که تا خشونت علیه زنان را تشویق کند، حتی تا مرحله جان باختن آن ها. معیارهای این دولت مردسالار بر بدن زنان كنترل اِعمال می كنند و زنان را به خاطر زن بودن شان ذاتاً مظنون و مقصر مفروض می پندارد.
مبارزه زنانی که در زیر بازگو می شوند، خشونت این رژیم مردسالار زن ستز را بازگو می کنند:

یاسمین آریانی، چندین بار به جرم دفاع از حقوق خود محکوم شد.
در اوت 2018، او در طی تظاهراتی در تهران همراه با سایر فعالان دستگیر شد. در 8 مارس 2019، هنگامی که او و مادرش در داخل مترو تهران، بدون حجاب، و علیه حجاب اجباری در بین مسافرین مثرو گل توزیع می کردند و شعار “من بی حجاب، و تو با حجاب” سر می دادند، بار دیگر دستگیر شدند.
آن ها هر كدام به 16 سال زندان محكوم شدند. در پی بسیج های بین المللی و هم چنین پحش گسترده ویدئویی در شبکه های اجتماعی، محکومیت آن ها به 9 سال کاهش می یابد.
طبق گزارش سازمان “ابتکار عمل زنان نوبل”، یاسمین « در زندان در شرایط وحشتناکی به سر می برد... او در سلول انفرادی محبوس بوده، خانواده اش حق تماس با او را نداشته و او را تهدید کرده اند که چنان چه در برابر دوربین فیلمبرداری از کرده خود اظهار ندامت نکتد، سایر اعضای خانواده اش را نیز دستگیر خواهند کرد».

گلرخ ابراهیمی ایرایی، نویسنده و مدافع حقوق، فعال علیه مجازات سنگسار در ایران.
در اکتبر 2016، به دنبال کشف یک جزوه انتقادی در باره سنگسار، به هنگام بازرسی خانه اش، به ۶ سال زندان محکوم می شود.
او از ژانویه 2017 در زندان به سر می برد. شرایط زندان غیرقابل تحمل است. در هنگام بازجویی با چشم بند، تهدید به مرگ می شود. او هم چنین مجبور به شنیدن لگد زدن نگهبانان به شوهرش و فریادهای ناشی خفه کردن او در سلول مجاور می شود.

ریحانه جباری، یک دکوراتور 20 ساله، متهم به قتل یک مأمور سابق امنیت که به او تجاوز جنسی کرده بود
در 25 اکتبر 2014 ، وی را به جرم کشتن متجاوز با چاقو، مجرم شناخته و اعدام کردند. در مکاتبات متعددی که از درون سلول زندان داشته، شرایط زندان و تعدش را بازگو می کند. وی درباره محاکمه خود می نویسد: «التماس نکردم، من حتی یک قطره اشک هم نریرختم، زیرا به قانون اعتماد کردم. اما من به بی تفاوتی نسبت به جنایت متهم شدم.»

زهرا اسماعیلی از خشونت خانگی رنج می برد. وی برای دفاع از خود شوهرش را به قتل می رساند.
شوهرش، یک مقام ارشد امنیتی، مرتباً او را کتک می زد. زهرا به اعدام محکوم شد. در 17 فوریه 2021، در حالی که شاهد به دار آویختن 16 مرد قبل از خودش بود، سکته مغزی می کند و می میرد. جسد بی جان او را دار می زنند.

بدون رهایی واقعی و کامل زنان، هیچ آینده ای برای دموکراسی در ایران وجود ندارد.
