Mining, monocrop plantations and other development projects.that will trample our rights, especially without a genuine process of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) are development aggression. ENVIRONMENT and ANCESTRAL DOMAIN is our life. Taking our Fusaka Ingëd through proclamation as Mineral Reservation Area that will possibly displaced us. Removing us from any part and parcel of our Fusaka Ingëd, we will die. So, better to die standing and fighting peacefully through legal to meta legal means and be buried in it.

We hope that the current political leaders and the aspiring ones could have the wisdom to picture out the negative effects of the proposed Proclamation as Mineral Reservation Area of the 3,566 hectares of land located in the Barangays of Romongaob, the center of leadership of South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur and the adjacent lowest Barangay Kuya, also of the above-mentioned municipality.

Evaluate the impact of this project on the land area and environment of the municipality, as well as the negative impact on the lives of your constituents affected within the proposed reservation area. Whom are you governing if the affected communities will be displaced. Consider also the perceived impact on security, economic social, environment and to the lives of all South Upians and the adjacent Municipalities of Datu Blah Sinsuat and Lebak in Sultan Kudarat

People in positions and power are the oppressors of IPs and suppressors of their rights, they tagged the assertion of IPs as anti-government, if the IPs are conversant of their rights, they are left leaning.

Where is the IPs positioning themselves? The duty bearers supposed to protect humanity and their rights, including the IPs are the ones oppressing the IPs and suppressing their rights legally recognized by National and International Laws. Are they allowing the IPs to be trampled down? Or they’re the ones trampling down the IPs?

They want the IPs to remain as ignorant and weak for their own interest and benefits.

Umaasa lang ako na ang panindigan natin ay hindi kayang bilihan, hindi tulad ng mga lupa ng henerasyon natin. Lalong mababa tayo sa paningin nila at tinuturing tayong mga aso lang nila kung nabibili ang prinsipyo natin.
