We should therefore start the new year with a round figure of 21,000 euros - less than last year, but we will only be able to draw up an effective balance sheet once the whole of 2024 has been taken into account.

In 2024, we transferred €41,400 to our partners (€43,020 in 2023). We interrupted our transfers in mid-November, as the end-of-2024 campaign was devoted to the Asia 2025 Solidarity Fund.

This January 2025, we were able to resume payments. Thus, 6,500 have already been transferred to our partner organisations in the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia.

Of course, the financial solidarity campaign will continue throughout the year. We’re not ending it!

As we all know, maintaining ‘Asia’ solidarity in the current international conditions is not a matter of course, but it is our association’s own responsibility. Thank you for helping us to fulfil it.

Regular and one-off donations

Monthly contributions (via bank transfer, HelloAsso or PayPal) are very useful to us.

They can of course be supplemented by one-off donations, in response to specific appeals in particular.

Small donations count

It turns out that some people decide not to send a donation, believing that it would be too small to ‘count’, given the needs. This is a mistake, because even small donations ‘count’.

Fifteen donations of €30 add up to €450, making it possible to ‘complete’ a bank transfer of €1,000.

Even donations of €10 ‘make sense’. As well as being a ‘complementary’ contribution that should never be overlooked, they demonstrate political solidarity - and the scale of this solidarity makes sense for our partners in Asia (as well as for the ESSF team running this campaign).

Addresses

It is important to provide us with :

An e-mail address.

A postal address. If it’s not the one written on the cheque (for this method of payment), don’t forget to indicate it!

Similarly, make sure that your contact details are indicated on bank transfers. We sometimes receive donations without knowing from whom, or from what country...

Tax receipts for those who pay tax in France

For those who pay tax in France and are eligible for a tax deduction, we will be sending out tax receipts at the beginning of March.

Here are a few details:

– For people whose donations are paid via HelloAsso: it is we who prepare the receipts and not this association.

– For donations made by cheque, it is the date of the cheque that counts: up to 31 December, it is included in the receipt for 2024, after that it will be included next year in the receipts for 2025.

– In the case of transfers, the date on which the transfer was made is decisive.

Cheques are deposited in the bank on a regular basis. If yours has not been cashed, please contact us. Mail does not always arrive safely.

Remember that our association operates without any form of remuneration, on an entirely militant basis. So 100% of donations received are transferred to their recipients. The costs associated with these transfers are mainly banking and kept to a minimum (less than 5%). We do not ‘export’ our own projects. We help movements to respond to humanitarian, social and democratic emergencies on the basis of their involvement in the field and their own perception of priorities.
